Tomomi: Meet our Program Coordinator

Originally from Japan, Tomomi holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education earned in her home country. After moving to Australia, she successfully adapted her qualifications to work in local childcare centres, including the Sudbury House Early Learning Centre.

Tomomi returned to the professional workforce after a 12-year period focused on raising her three children. Today, she successfully balances community-driven roles, serving as a parent facilitator and crèche worker for CLAN/Indigo Junction while delivering impactful work at Sister Project.

She loves working with Sister Project because helping women break down barriers and seeing them become happier gives her a real sense of purpose. She also values being part of a friendly, supportive workplace where people work together to make a positive difference in the community.

Outside of work, Tomomi regularly volunteers with a Japanese organization at cultural events. She is deeply passionate about keeping traditions alive for future generations and absolutely loves sharing her Japanese culture with the wider community.
