Meet Manimegelai
Her Story
Manimegelai takes every opportunity to challenge herself and create the best future for herself and her family.

When Manimegelai arrived in Australia she was so nervous and anxious of her new surroundings. Although she could speak English, the Australian way of doing things and our accent was a challenge for her to get used to and understand.

Manimegelai came upon Sister Project when we were still meeting in the local library. Since then Mani has participated in swimming lessons , joined the North Metro TAFE AMEP English classes, and is now studying Cert IV in Aged Care.

With just a bit of assistance and connection she has been able to also navigate the school system and find tutoring for aspiring children.

With just a little bit of encouragement and hand-holding, Mani has shown to herself, to her children and her supportive husband that she is brave!!

What a great example and leader she is to her family and others!

Changing countries, language and cultures is hard. But we can do hard things!
We see you and celebrate you today!

Impact a woman's life and you make a difference for the whole family... for generations.
